Amalia Lemus Estrella, 85 of Conover passed away Thursday December 4, 2014 at Brian Center-East in Hickory. Born January 29, 1929 in Mexico, she is the daughter of the late Carlos and Francisca Estrella. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday December 12, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Newton. Burial will follow at Jenkins Cemetery at Jenkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 pm Thursday December 11, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home. The Estrella family has entrusted arrangements to Jenkins Funeral Home in Newton, 828-464-1555.
