Alma Fleenor

Alma Cecile Fleenor, 76 of Newton died Wednesday, November 30th, 2016 at Duke University Hospital. Born August 27th, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Robert Houston Stapleton and Birdie Lee Manis Stapleton. A loving wife and mother, she was active at Startown Baptist Church. For 15 years she worked for Giant Food Market which later became Food Lion and worked there for 17 years. Her husband, Isaac Samuel Fleenor of the home; two daughters, Sheila Jenine Rhea of Newton and Kimberly Renee Setzer of Salisbury; a brother, Kenneth Blake Stapleton of Kingsport, TN and six grandchildren and several great grandchildren survive her. Two sons, Keneth Doyle Rhea and David Anthony Rhea; three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. The funeral will be 3:00 pm Saturday December 3, 2016 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dean Hart officiating. Burial will be 12:00 pm Sunday December 4, 2016 at Highland Cemetery in Rogersville, TN. The family will receive friends Saturday December 3, 2016 immediately following the service.
